Story Girl Art

about casey . . .
Casey Kurz is a multi-disciplined artist who has been creating in the Omaha area for over ten years. The focus of her artistry is storytelling through the unique (and sometimes combined) mediums of writing, photography and visual artwork. She has worked collaboratively and as a solo artist, always striving to inspire others to appreciate the beauty in the world around us and inside ourselves.
Casey’s artwork combines vibrant color and inspiring words to create a unique line of wall art and home décor. In addition to creating custom artwork for private clients, she has been commissioned to create one-of-a-kind pieces for such organizations as The Omaha Children’s Museum (entitled “Ice Cream Dream” in collaboration with Anne Nye) and The Millard School System (entitled “Soaring Possibilities” located at Millard Central Middle School).
Her work has been displayed and for sale in several galleries across Omaha, including current works at The Blue Pomegranate Gallery at Village Pointe. She has appeared in many juried art shows including Joslyn Art Museum’s Artistree, The Visiting Nurse Association’s Art & Soup Fundraiser, where she won the judges choice award in 2018 and was featured on the HGTV series “That’s Clever.”
Casey lives in Omaha with her husband, son, and crime-fighting kitties.
